C-42K Terra Phantom Tactical Airlift Aircraft
The Terra Phantom is the Republic Air Force's standard tactical airlift aircraft. It is operated as the C-42 under the Air Service Type system and is built by SkyTech Aviation for rough-field logistics, airdrop, medical evacuation and rapid movement between dispersed air bases.
The controlling C-42 production-block, propulsion, layout, sensory and allowance record is RA-FW-042 in Aircraft of the Republic.

Avionics and Sensors
The current C-42K fit uses the AFR-42K Loadmaster weather and ground-mapping radar made by SecureWing Avionics. The radar gives crews bad-weather approach, drop-zone mapping, terrain awareness and low-level route support. The aircraft also carries the AFC-42J Packnet cargo-status datalink from Stratolink Communications, allowing receiving units to see pallet priority, medical-cabin state and estimated arrival times before the aircraft lands. Its AFE-42H Hearthguard defensive-aids suite, supplied by SkyNet Systems, provides missile warning, threat cueing and expendable countermeasure control.
Operational Use
Terra Phantom crews are trained to treat airlift as a tactical act rather than a freight service. A normal mission may include night approach, partial runway lighting, combat offload, casualty embarkation and departure before the airfield is fully secure. The aircraft's value lies in the combination of payload, crew discipline and avionics that make improvised logistics predictable.
