Stratos Titan

C-44B Stratos Titan Strategic Heavy Airlift Aircraft

The Stratos Titan is the Republic Air Force's heavy strategic airlifter. It is operated as the C-44 and gives Transport Command the ability to move outsized vehicles, helicopters, engine modules, field hospitals and disaster-relief stores without relying entirely on sealift.

The controlling C-44 production-block, propulsion, layout, sensory and allowance record is RA-FW-044 in Aircraft of the Republic.

  • Manufacturer: Aether Aerospace.

Avionics and Sensors

The C-44B carries the AFR-44B Longroad weather and traffic radar produced by Aether's avionics division. It is not a combat radar; its purpose is long-range weather avoidance, oceanic routing, formation transport control and safe approach to congested military airfields. The AFC-44B Atlaslink strategic logistics communications suite from Stratolink Communications connects the aircraft to national movement-control centres, while the AFN-44B Meridian Ring navigation suite from QuantumNav Systems gives redundant inertial, satellite and radio-navigation references.

Operational Use

Stratos Titan sorties are planned around national logistics priorities. A single aircraft may carry bridge components, armoured vehicles or packaged aircraft spares whose absence would delay an entire deployment. The avionics fit reflects that role: the crew needs dependable navigation, weather avoidance and cargo accountability more than battlefield sensors.
