Rhea Sen and Amil Daro live in a mortgaged Lattice Park apartment with a young child and a lodger who is completing a data-security course. Their pressure is the gap between technology-sector salaries and the cost of secure housing, care and commuting. Rhea wants a stable employer; Amil values freelance autonomy. They disagree about whether to buy a larger flat or keep liquidity for a possible downturn. A plausible trajectory is a move to a less fashionable Westrake suburb, followed by involvement in a childcare and transport campaign.
