Karsin

Karsin is an outer administrative and rail city in the Capital Security Basin. Registry Hill contains ministry annexes and older clerical housing; South Loop Estates holds newer workplace flats; Veysk Gate is a bus, market and food-depot district; Old Tram Yard retains workshops and low-rent rooms. Households are usually small capital flats or multigenerational estates, with security and ministry families more likely to have separate entrances and reliable clinic access.

The principal employers are records offices, transport directorates, food depots, security training units and repair workshops. Secondary work includes school administration, market stalls, domestic service and small electronics repair. Registry Hill School and Karsin Technical Institute place children into clerical, signals and maintenance tracks. The Basin Clinic handles routine care; specialist cases travel to the capital's protected hospitals. Buses and the old tram loop make commuting possible, but a security closure can divert the whole morning's journey.

Veysk Dairy, Malgor Signal service counters and Red Canal Markets are familiar household names. Local radio, stairwell notices and workplace boards matter more than national broadcasts for lift repairs and permit changes. Football is played through ministry, railway and school clubs. The recurring pressure is winter fuel allocation and the annual examination season, when a school recommendation can decide whether a family remains in Karsin or moves for training. Residents are proud that the city keeps the Basin moving; outsiders call it a city of informers. A tolerated rule-bend is using a ministry vehicle to carry a neighbour's medicine after the official route closes. The former East Tram Depot cinema is now a records store, but older couples still call the bus stop “the pictures”. A live dispute concerns the conversion of family flats into single-room security accommodation. The Savelin household appears in housing and media records; clerk Nera Savelin is respected for finding school places and disliked for keeping perfect files.
